World No 1 Novak Djokovic advanced to the final of the ATP’s Cincinnati Masters as eighth-seeded Tomas Berdych retired from their semifinal with a sore right shoulder after dropping the first set 7-5.
In Sunday’s final, Djokovic will face world No 4 Andy Murray, a 6-3, 7-6 (10/8) winner over American Mardy Fish.
Djokovic, who has also been troubled by a sore right shoulder, claimed his 57th match victory of the season with just one defeat.
