The Minnesota Vikings have had no luck this season when it comes to injuries.
Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson hasn’t exactly been lighting up the stat sheet so far this season, but that was an afterthought following what happened Sunday against the Green Packers. After gaining a chunk of yards on a first down late in the third quarter, Peterson had trouble getting up due to a right knee injury and had to be helped off the field and into the locker room.
The Vikings later ruled Peterson out for the rest of their “Sunday Night Football” game against the Packers. He only had 19 yards on 12 carries in Minnesota’s 17-14 win.
The Vikings already are without starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for the rest of the season (and possible longer) after he suffered a dislocated knee and torn ACL. Backup quarterback Sam Bradford also suffered an injury against Green Bay, although he quickly returned to the field.
