For those wondering, The Spoiler offices are exactly how you’d imagine – full of men in corduroy, pipe smoke everywhere, Six Music playing on the wireless.
All of which leads to an intriguing piece of trivia just announced on the radio – soul man Gil Scott-Heron’s dad, Gil Heron (rather fittingly, minus the “Scott”) used to play for Celtic in the 1950s! The first black player at the club, he earned the dubious nickname, The Black Arrow.
We’re massive fans of his little boy, so what better excuse for a little bit of music!
