Caroline’s Blog

Greetings from Melbourne, Everyone. Now that the first week is over, thought I would give you a little recap on what I’ve been up to. I’m pretty happy that I matched my result from last year, but I really hope I’ll get through my 4th round match as well. I’m yet to drop a set, and I feel good out there.

My next opponent is Anastasia Sevastova. She is a young player and I’ve never played her before. It’s always hard to play players that are relatively new on Tour because I don’t know much about her. I obviosuly cannot take her lightly, she is a good player and it will be a challenging match. I feel that I;m playing better each match, so I hope I’ll come up with a good performance tomorrow.

I haven’t been doing much off the tennis court. I’m staying with my parents in a really nice apartment that is located in the middle of Melbourne, so they have tons of shops and restaurants.

Last night I actually went out and had dinner with my parents and Sven and Matts from the adidas team. We had some delicious food at Nobu, one of my favorite restaurants. Normally though, I haven’t gone out much, I prety much stayed at the apartment each night. I brought a few DVDs with me, so I;ve been watching movies and some tennis on TV.

Yesterday I also had a fun press conference. I always enjoy giving interviews to th media as there are several people that I grew very fond of in recent years. I think the majority is great people but I just wanted to get my point across in my own way. I might come across as boring sometimes, but it’s hard to stay entertaining when I keep on receiving the same questions. I think I spiced things up a little bit yesterday and I hope that my friends at the media will find my future press conference fun.

I almost forgot to tell you. I saw my new Turkish Airlines commercial. If you haven’t seen it yet, visit my www.facebook.com/carolinewozniacki to check it out. I think it’s pretty exciting that I now have two commercials on TV (Proactiv and Turkish Airlines).

Thank you for all your support during this past week.

Love,
Caro
