Northwestern Might Have Sealed First Tourney Bid With Incredible Prayer At Buzze…

Share this: If Northwestern finally makes the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this season, we’ll all likely look back at March 1 as the night the Wildcats broke their program-long curse. And what a way to do it. It appeared as though Northwestern and Michigan were heading to overtime with their Big Ten Conference clash tied with 1.7 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Wildcats made sure that didn’t happen. Instead, Nathan Taphorn inbounded the pass and tossed up a Hail Mary the full length of the court to Dererk Pardon, who made the game-winning bucket as time expired to give the Wildcats the 67-65 win. Go crazy, Northwestern. At 21-9, now looks as good a time as ever to make your first ever NCAA Tournament. Thumbnail photo

Watch Patriots’ Trey Flowers Release Trey The Seal Back Into The Wild

by Zack Cox on Wed, Mar 1, 2017 at 8:36AM 1,864 Share this: Trey Flowers’ dominant Super Bowl LI performance cemented his status as one of the New England Patriots’ best defensive players. It also earned him an animal namesake. After Flowers recorded 2 1/2 sacks and five quarterback hits in the Patriots’ win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut announced it had named a 9-month-old rescued harbor seal after the young defensive end. On Tuesday, with a smiling Flowers in attendance, the aquarium released “Trey” back into the wild. Flowers, a second-year pro who lost nearly his entire rookie season to injury, was the Patriots’ most productive pass rusher this season, leading the team with seven sacks. NBA Rumors: Warriors Fear Kevin Durant’s Knee Injury Will Sideline Him For Month…

Share this: The NBA’s best team is bracing itself for some bad news. Kevin Durant hyperextended his left knee Tuesday in the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Washington Wizards, but the team still was awaiting MRI results early Wednesday morning. And the Warriors reportedly are fearing the worst, as sources told The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski the team is afraid Durant could miss the rest of the regular season or longer. The Warriors don’t lack stars with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on their roster, but losing Durant still would be a big blow in a competitive Western Conference. The forward is Golden State’s top scorer this season, averaging 25.3 points per game to go with 8.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Golden State is

Patriots Reportedly Not Expected To Trade Jimmy Garoppolo This Offseason

by Zack Cox on Wed, Mar 1, 2017 at 9:01AM 2,679 Share this: After months of rampant trade speculation, it appears Jimmy Garoppolo is staying put. In what he called “a move that will have a ripple effect on all QB-needy teams,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday, citing league sources, that the New England Patriots are not expected to trade Garoppolo this offseason. “I’m telling you right now, (the Patriots) love Jimmy Garoppolo,” Schefter said on “SportsCenter.” “… He is not going to be traded.” The 25-year-old quarterback has one year remaining on his rookie contract, and with starting QB Tom Brady showing no signs of decline as he approaches age 40, many predicted the Patriots would deal Garoppolo rather than risk losing him for nothing
