Share this: Brian Scalabrine didn’t see the court much during his time with the Boston Celtics, but that didn’t stop him from becoming a fan favorite. Scalabrine, who now works as an NBA analyst for CSNNE, decided to spice up his sideline reporting by donning a hilarious neon-green jacket. This wasn’t just any neon-green jacket, though, as it was custom-made to honor Scalabrine and covered with pictures of his face. Despite the jacket being made in Scalabrine’s honor, it’s hilariously ironic that the fan misspelled the 11-year NBA veteran’s last name. If you’re Scalabrine, you have to appreciate the love from the fans, even when they misprint your surname. Tom Brady’s Father Sounds Off On Roger Goodell For Role In Deflategate
Share this: Leading up to Super Bowl LI, Tom Brady has elected not to comment on Roger Goodell, but the same can’t be said for Brady’s father. As a result of the NFL’s handling of the Deflategate saga, Tom Brady Sr. is clearly not a fan of the NFL commissioner, as he expressed in an interview with KRON 4 in San Francisco. “For what the league did to him (Tom Brady) and what Roger Goodell constantly lied about is beyond reprehensible as far as I’m concerned,” Brady Sr. told KRON 4. Brady Sr. didn’t stop there. The father of the New England Patriots quarterback believes his son was the victim of an unfounded investigation led by Goodell. “He (Goodell) went on a witch hunt and
Tom Brady, Patriots Prepare To Face Dan Quinn, Falcons In Super Bowl LI
Share this: On paper, the Atlanta Falcons’ defense doesn’t look all that impressive. The Falcons allowed 371.2 yards and 25.4 points per game during the regular season, both of which were in the bottom 10 in the league. But that doesn’t mean Super Bowl LI will be a walk in the park for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Hear NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava break it all down in the video from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank, above. More Stories Source link
Watch Oregon’s Dillon Brooks Make Serious Case For Worst Flop Of All Time
Share this: Dillon Brooks apparently has been studying his flopping game tape. The Oregon forward scored a team-high 19 points Thursday night to lead the No. 10 Ducks to a 73-67 win over Utah. But Brooks’ offensive exploits were overshadowed by his flop on the defensive end that would make Marcus Smart blush. Not only did Brooks appear to be blown back by a mysterious force of nature — the Utah player barely touched him — but he kept the flop going, hopping on one foot before throwing his body onto the floor. The internet seemed to enjoy Brooks’ theatrics, though. Oregon now has won a school-record 17 consecutive games, though, so maybe Brooks should flop more often. Actually, never mind. Please don’t flop like this
Louisiana Tech Vs. UAB Basketball Brawl Leads To Mass Ejections, Ridiculous Endi…
Share this: The Louisiana Tech University and University of Alabama at Birmingham basketball teams really should stick to hoops. The teams’ game devolved into a farce Thursday at Bartow Arena after a mass brawl and subsequent ejections left both sides short-handed. With around six minutes remaining in the second half and UAB leading by 13 points, the chaos came when UAB’s Hakeem Baxter started fighting with Louisiana Tech’s Jacobi Boykins. Players from both sides left their respective benches. [embedded content] The referees followed the rules and ejected Baxter, Boykins the assistant coaches and any player that left the bench, namely most of them. Louisiana Tech had to finish the game with just four players. Yes, that’s a five-on-four basketball game. UAB went on to win
Paul Pierce Talks L.A. Roots, ‘Irony’ Of Playing For Celtics In Retirement Video
Share this: Paul Pierce forever will be a part of Boston’s history, but his basketball journey started far, far away from the City of Champions. The Los Angeles Clippers forward, who announced in September he’s retiring after the 2016-17 season, spent 15 of his 19 NBA seasons with the Boston Celtics. But Pierce hails from Inglewood, Calif., roughly 3,000 miles from the Massachusetts capital. On Thursday, the 39-year-old released a video on The Players’ Tribune that gave a cool look into how Inglewood helped shape the man he is today. Pierce admits growing up a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, who actually played in Inglewood during their days at the old Forum. And yes, he fully realizes the irony of not only going to
Tuukka Rask Denies Penguins’ Justin Schultz Of Go-Ahead Goal
Share this: The Boston Bruins won their second-consecutive game on Thursday night with an impressive 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. It was a back-and-forth affair all night, and the Penguins had the chance to break a 2-2 tie when defenseman Justin Schultz found himself in front of an open net. However, Tuukka Rask smothered the shot attempt, keeping the score tied and denying Pittsburgh any momentum. To see the DCU Save of the Game, check out the video above.
