For Chelsea captain Charlie Colkett it is “amazing” to be back in the UEFA Youth League final – with Monday’s showpiece match against Paris Saint-Germain one he believes the defending champions can approach with total “confidence”.
Central midfielder Colkett produced an authoritative display capped by Chelsea’s second goal in the 3-0 semi-final dismantling of Anderlecht. He regards Friday’s performance as a strong statement of intent from the London club, saying: “I thought it was great at times. We showed how good we could be on the ball, we were very composed and we didn’t concede, which was really important for us. It was a great game.”
