Larry Lucchino was named the chairman of The Jimmy Fund in April, but it’s been previous experiences inside their walls that helped push him towards taking on the new role.
Lucchino, of course, had a close relationship via his time as president of the Boston Red Sox, but he’s also a former cancer patient himself.
He joined NESN’s Tom Caron on “Red Sox First Pitch” during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon to discuss what The Jimmy Fund means to and has done for him and how the Red Sox have played a part.
