MLB Postseason Picture: Indians Move Back Into No. 2 Spot; Wild-Card Races Tight…

The Major League Baseball postseason picture has a few noticeable changes after an interesting slate of game Saturday.

The Red Sox’s loss and the Indians’ win means Cleveland currently holds the No. 2 seed and has home-field advantage for its American League Division Series matchup with Boston. The Red Sox still could sneak back into the No. 2 spot, though.

As for the wild card, the Toronto Blue Jays moved back into the first slot thanks to their win over the Red Sox and the Orioles’ loss to the New York Yankees. Baltimore still has the second wild-card spot, but the Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners haven’t been mathematically eliminated as of 12:39 a.m. ET on Sunday.

The wild-card race in the National League also will come down to the last day, as the St. Louis Cardinals remain one game behind the San Francisco Giants for the second spot.
