Jerry Krause, Architect Of Bulls’ Dynasty Of 1990s, Dies At 77
Share this: Jerry Krause, the two-time executive of the year for the Chicago Bulls during the 1990s, died Tuesday at the age of 77. He had been battling persistent health issues, according to The Chicago Tribune. Krause was the architect of the Bulls’ dynasty of the 1990s. The Chicago native took over as general manager in 1985 and surrounded Michael Jordan with the necessary pieces to win six NBA championships. He hired eventual Hall of Famer Phil Jackson from the Continental Basketball Association to be an assistant coach to Doug Collins in 1985, and made shockwaves when he fired Collins in favor of Jackson before the 1989-90 season. While the decision to hire Jackson paid huge dividends, Krause also orchestrated the 1987 trade that netted
Ray Allen Wasn’t The Only Former Celtic Not Invited To 2008 Title Reunion
Share this: It’s been nearly nine years since the Boston Celtics won their 17th NBA championship in franchise history, and one former Celtics player thought it was time for a reunion. Former C’s point guard Rajon Rondo recently told The Undefeated that he was planning a get-together for all the members of the historic 2007-08 Celtics squad. Despite being an integral part of the title run, Rondo revealed that Ray Allen would not be invited to the celebration, as Allen’s tenure with the Miami Heat apparently frayed the relationship between him and some of his former Celtics teammates. While Allen will not be in attendance, Rondo told The Undefeated that every other member of the team was at least invited to the reunion, even P.J.

Cavaliers GM David Griffin Expects Kevin Love To Return On Road Trip
Share this: Reinforcements reportedly are on the way for the Cleveland Cavaliers. General manager David Griffin told The Associated Press that the team anticipates star forward Kevin Love will return during the Cavaliers’ road trip that begins Saturday. Love has been out since Feb. 14 when he had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. The defending champion Cavaliers have struggled in Love’s absence. They have gone 7-6 in the 13 games since his injury and have struggled to rebound and defend the paint. The 28-year-old forward is having his best season since joining the Cavaliers before the 2014-15 campaign. He is averaging 20 points and 11.1 rebounds per game, so his presence should be a huge boost to the defending champions. In Love’s absence, the Cavaliers signed
