Indians’ Blown 3-1 Lead Just The Latest Meltdown In Cleveland Sports History

Share this: Cleveland’s sports fortunes appeared to be improving after the Cavaliers became the first team to win an NBA Finals after trailing the series 3-1. That triumph came in June, and Cleveland sports fans were hoping that would propel the Indians to a World Series title this postseason. But in typical Cleveland fashion, the Indians lost, and they did so in heartbreaking fashion. The Tribe blew a 3-1 World Series series lead to the Chicago Cubs, losing Game 6 and Game 7 on their home field. It was the latest in a long list of Cleveland sports meltdowns, so let’s take a look back at a few other notable losses throughout the city’s history. 1954 World Series vs. New York Giants“The Catch” by Hall of Fame outfielder Willie

Jamaal Charles Reportedly Placed On Injured Reserve By Chiefs After Setback

Share this: Jamaal Charles’ injury setbacks reportedly just got even worse. The Kansas City Chiefs placed the running back on injured reserve Tuesday, a league source told ESPN’s Field Yates. Charles suffered a torn ACL last season, and the move Tuesday came after he felt soreness in his right knee, according to ESPN. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also said Charles saw surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday after missing Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Charles will have to remain on injured reserve for eight weeks, which means he still could play again this regular season and in the playoffs, if the Chiefs make it. It’s still unclear whether that would happen, though. Charles only has played in parts of three games this season. He’s rushed for 40

Berkshire Bank Hockey Night In New England: Projected Bruins-Red Wings Lines, Pa…

Also, the Red Wings have gotten out to one of the best starts in the NHL this season, although they won’t have Thomas Vanek in their lineup. Here are the projected lineups for both teams. The projected Detroit lines are according to MLive.com. BOSTON BRUINS (3-4-0)Brad

Sunderland is enduring the worst start of any Premier League team after nine contests since Sheffield Wednesday in 2000. The Black Cats will be without Fabio Borini, Lee Cattermole, Jan Kirchhoff, Sebastian Larsson and Vito Mannone, making their task of beating the Gunners more daunting. Arsenal hasn’t lost to Sunderland in the Premier League in 13 games. The visitors could welcome

Patriots Notes: Chris Hogan Treating Buffalo Return ‘Like Every Other Week’

by Zack Cox on Wed, Oct 26, 2016 at 5:50PM 1,746 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — This weekend’s New England Patriots-Buffalo Bills matchup might be of the utmost importance to Rex Ryan, but to former Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan, it’s just another game. Hogan, who signed with the Patriots this past offseason, insisted he doesn’t have his first game back in Orchard Park circled on his calendar. “Nope, I’m going about this just like every other week,” Hogan said Wednesday. “It’s an away game. It’s a (divisional) game for us. It’s going to be a big game. Just (with) the way the outcome of the previous game went, we’re just looking forward to getting up there and playing a solid four quarters of football.” The Bills handed
