Why Patriots’ Eric Rowe Wouldn’t Dare Trash-Talk Tom Brady

by Zack Cox on Thu, Jun 8, 2017 at 2:30PM 2,805 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — Eric Rowe was the only player to intercept a Tom Brady pass during the New England Patriots’ mandatory minicamp this week. Even in practice, Brady interceptions are few and far between. But Rowe, who’s entering his second season with the Patriots, didn’t even think about celebrating his big defensive play, which came Thursday during the third and final minicamp practice. He knows better. “Oh, no,” the cornerback said when asked if he ever talks trash to Brady. “(Linebacker Elandon Roberts) told me he did that his rookie year, and he said Tom just exposed him. So I was like, ‘Ooh, I’m never doing that. I don’t want to say

Bill Belichick’s Son Was A Dabbing Machine During Patriots Parade

Share this: Breaking: The dab is cool again, courtesy of Tom Brady’s youngest son, Ben. As the New England Patriots paraded through the streets of Boston, celebrating their Super Bowl LI championship, Ben Brady was sitting atop a duck boat dabbing on all the haters. Brady was repped during the parade by fellow Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who donned a No. 12 jersey. Brady spoke after the parade at City Hall Plaza, where fans had gathered for a post-parade rally. The quarterback grabbed one of the Patriots’ five Lombardi Trophies and screamed, “Let’s go!” before joining in on a fan-led “We want six” chant. How Will Patriots Address Any Potential Chippy Play From Bills In Rematch?

Share this: Before the Buffalo Bills took down the New England Patriots in the teams’ Week 4 game in Foxboro, Mass., things got pretty chippy between the two rivals. And the Bills apparently are ready to retaliate again if the Pats dare to run through their pregame drills like Jacoby Brissett and Malcolm Mitchell did prior to Buffalo’s 16-0 win earlier this season. So what will the Patriots do if that happens? Hear former Patriot Matt Chatham discuss that and more with NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava in the video from “NESN Sports Today,” presented by People’s United Bank, above. More Stories Source link

Tom Brady Celebrates Patriots’ Win With Funny New Edition Of ‘TB Times’

Share this: You’re not supposed to mess with Texas, but that’s exactly what the New England Patriots did Thursday night. The Pats (3-0) cruised to a 27-0 win over the Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium with rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett under center, which certainly was cause for celebration for everyone in New England, including Tom Brady. Brady, who still has to miss one more game due to his Deflategate suspension, congratulated his teammates after the win with another edition of “TB Times,” which had a very appropriate headline. Oh, and don’t forget cover models Danny Amendola and Malcolm Butler. Thumbnail photo via Rick Osentoski/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

With Jacoby Brissett Or Jimmy Garoppolo, Patriots Will Stick To Same Formula

by Zack Cox on Mon, Sep 19, 2016 at 11:53AM 2,704 Share this: The New England Patriots will tweak their offensive game plan if rookie Jacoby Brissett, not Jimmy Garoppolo, must start under center Thursday night against the Houston Texans. But they won’t overhaul it. Speaking on a conference call with reporters Monday, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said the team will stick to the same formula regardless of which quarterback gets the nod against Houston. “We always try to do what’s right for the week,” McDaniels said. “There’s a lot of variables that go into that, and certainly we consider all positions. If we have some situation where we’re missing somebody on the offensive line or at a receiver position, tight end, quarterback, running back — we

Patriots-Bears Notes: Chris Hogan Gets ‘Emotional’; Justin Coleman Struggles

by Zack Cox on Fri, Aug 19, 2016 at 1:48AM 10,734 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — The low point and highlight of Chris Hogan’s New England Patriots debut came in rapid succession Tuesday night. Early in the second half of New England’s 23-22 win over the Chicago Bears, Hogan was whistled for offensive holding downfield, chopping nine yards off what would have been a 21-yard completion to tight end Clay Harbor. The call was borderline, and Hogan, who pleaded with the official after seeing the flag fly in, clearly disagreed with it. Cut to the very next play: On first and 1 (yes, first and 1) quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sensed pressure in the pocket, took one step forward and lofted a pass to a wide-open Hogan, who momentarily
