2017 NHL Playoffs Schedule: Second-Round Dates, Times, TV Listings

Share this: The Stanley Cup playoff field is down to eight teams, and that will be trimmed to four after the second round is completed sometime in May. Of the four second-round matchups, the Washington Capitals-Pittsburgh Penguins certainly is the highlight. The teams also met in the second round last season, with the Penguins claiming the series in six games en route to a Stanley Cup championship. Other second-round series pit the Ottawa Senators against the New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference, and the St. Louis Blues against the Nashville Predators and the Anaheim Ducks against the Edmonton Oilers in the Western Conference. Blues’ Road Woes Could Spell Good News For Bruins In Game At TD Garden

Share this: The St. Louis Blues might as well be two different teams. At home, the Blues are 8-1-2 and pretty much unstoppable. They are scoring an average of 2.5 goals in those games, while allowing only 1.5 goals per contest. But the road Blues have been a different story. St. Louis is 2-5-1 away from home, and while they still are averaging 2.5 goals per game, their goals against average is 4.1 in those games. That sounds like music to the Boston Bruins’ ears, as they’ll welcome the Blues to TD Garden on Tuesday night. Hear more about the Blues’ road woes from NESN’s Dale Arnold and Billy Jaffe in the video from “Bruins Face-Off Live” above.
