Will Josh Jackson’s Apparent Shot At Markelle Fultz Start New NBA Rivalry?

Share this: Is Josh Jackson throwing some serious shade at Markelle Fultz? Kansas University forward Jackson apparently used Twitter on Saturday to question the talent level of Washington University’s Fultz. Jackson’s barb came just days before the 2017 NBA Draft, in which most expect the Philadelphia 76ers to select Fultz with the No. 1 overall pick (once they acquire it from the Boston Celtics). Jackson has since deleted the Tweet, but USA TODAY’s Andrew Joseph captured it in a screenshot. Fultz shined for the Huskies last season, but they only won nine games and lost 22. Kansas went 31-5 and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament. That’s probably what Jackson had in mind when he took aim at Fultz. Jackson has been

NBA Rumors: Celtics Were Concerned Markelle Fultz Wasn’t A Winner

Share this: Markelle Fultz is a remarkable talent on the basketball court, but is the likely No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft a winner? The Washington guard led his team to a 9-22 record in his only season in Seattle, and apparently, that’s one of the reasons the Boston Celtics opted to pass on the multi-faceted Fultz when they reportedly agreed to trade the top selection in Thursday’s draft to the Philadelphia 76ers. I'm told in addition to this, Boston "had serious concerns about Fultz being a winner. Too many red flags there to pick him at #1." https://t.co/JqKes2BIAZ — Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) June 18, 2017 The C’s reportedly will receive the No. 3 overall pick in the 2017 draft, as well

NBA Rumors: Celtics, 76ers Agree To Trade For No. 1 Pick, Will Finalize Monday

Share this: UPDATE (11:30 p.m. ET): There has been a bit of a plot twist. Instead of getting three first-round draft picks from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics will get two, and the second will depend on protections, according to multiple reports. According to league source, Celtics will receive the No. 3 overall pick this year & a protected future first-round pick from Philly, not two — Adam Himmelsbach (@AdamHimmelsbach) June 18, 2017 Clarification on deal: Besides its 2017 FRP, Philly sends '18 Lakers pick w/ protections. If it doesn't convey, 76ers send 2019 Kings pick. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) June 18, 2017 Celtics will get Lakers pick if it falls between 2

76ers’ Joel Embiid, Dario Saric Want Markelle Fultz To ‘Trust The Process’

Share this: While the Boston Celtics and 76ers reportedly are working out a deal for Philadelphia to acquire the No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NBA Draft, a few members of the 76ers are excited about the prospects of Washington guard Markelle Fultz becoming part of their process. Joel Embiid and Dario Saric fanned the trade rumor flames Saturday when they tweeted a photo of themselves in front of a locker with Fultz’s name on it with the caption — “Trust The Process.” Fultz, of course, is expected to be the top selection in the draft and was in Philadelphia on Saturday for a pre-draft workout. The C’s and 76ers reportedly are working on a trade that would send the No. 1 pick to Philadelphia

Celtics Fans Will Enjoy This Photo Of Markelle Fultz With Red Auerbach’s Old Car

Share this: Markelle Fultz seems to be embracing the idea that there’s a good chance the Boston Celtics will select him with the No. 1 overall pick in next week’s NBA draft. Fultz has long been considered the best player available, and all signs suggest the Washington point guard is ready to don green. For instance, consider the following photos, which show Fultz posing in front of Red Auerbach’s old car on Friday: The photos apparently were taken on the campus of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Md., where Fultz blossomed into an All-American before committing to the University of Washington and enjoying a sensational freshman season for the Huskies. Auerbach, a Celtics legend, was a terrific talent evaluator. It would be fitting if
