NFL Suspends Bills Tackle 10 Games For Marijuana, Which He Uses For Crohn’s

Share this: It’s no secret that the NFL has a strict marijuana policy, but it’s costing one player his ability to live his everyday life without pain while still remaining on the field. Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson has Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract that’s extremely painful. Henderson had two-and-a-half feet of his gastrointestinal tract removed in January and uses medical marijuana to deal with the pain. But the NFL doesn’t give out any therapeutic use exemptions for marijuana and handed Henderson a 10-game suspension Tuesday. It’s a complicated issue because Henderson and his agent know he’s not allowed to use marijuana, but there’s nothing else he can take. He already was suspended four games for it this season.

Bill Belichick Is A Huge Fan Of Rams Punter Johnny Hekker: ‘He’s A Weapon’

by Zack Cox on Wed, Nov 30, 2016 at 10:24AM 2,147 Share this: FOXBORO, Mass. — Ask a random person who the best player on the Los Angeles Rams is, and there’s a strong chance he or she would choose Aaron Donald, the All-Pro defensive tackle who quickly has blossomed into one of the NFL’s most ferocious defenders. Bill Belichick, however, spent much of his Wednesday news conference heaping praise on another, far less heralded Rams star: punter Johnny Hekker. “Hekker is a tremendous weapon,” the New England Patriots coach said, unprompted. “He’s as good a player as I’ve ever seen at that position. He’s a tremendous weapon in his ability to punt it inside the 20, directional kick it. He’s involved in fakes. He

Stephen Curry Ditches Panthers Gear For Raiders Jersey After Losing Bet

Share this: Stephen Curry might be the most popular athlete in Oakland, but that doesn’t mean he roots for the local NFL team. The Golden State Warriors point guard grew up in Charlotte, N.C., and has been a vocal supporter Panthers. He even took part in the Super Bowl 50 pregame festivities on the Carolina sideline. But that support ended up costing him Sunday, as he apparently lost a bet with the Raiders’ 35-32 win over the Panthers. As a result, he had to wear the Silver and Black at Oakland Coliseum. And the Raiders sure were happy. Sorry, Steph. Thumbnail photo via Matthew Emmons/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Greatest Thanksgiving NFL Games Of All Time Come Down To Three Classics

Share this: NFL games on Thanksgiving can be an even bigger feast than the food spread itself, allowing pigskin-mad fans to gorge themselves on three games. The Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys traditionally host Thanksgiving games, and the NFL then throws in a prime-time special, and while not every contest is a classic, it’s still better than listening to the annoying aunts, uncles and cousins you only see once per year. NESN.com’s Michaela Vernava went through the list of Thanksgiving NFL games and picked the three greatest ever played. There’s no arguing with this list, as these games were absolutely unforgettable. Tom Brady Notches 199th Career Win, Ties Brett Favre For Second All Time

by Zack Cox on Sun, Nov 20, 2016 at 8:08PM 2,540 Share this: Only one quarterback in the history of the NFL has won more games than Tom Brady. And Brady could pass him early next month. The New England Patriots’ 30-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday was the 199th of Brady’s career, moving him into a tie with Hall of Famer Brett Favre for second in NFL history. Only Peyton Manning (200) has more. Brady, whose first victory came Sept. 30, 2001, was at his very best in win No. 199, shredding his hometown 49ers for four interceptions without turning the ball over. It was the 21st four-plus-touchdown, zero-interception game of Brady’s career, extending his own NFL record. The Patriots led just
