Share this: Mitch Moreland is starting to heat up. The Boston Red Sox first baseman went yard Thursday night against the Oakland Athletics, and he one-upped himself Friday night. The Red Sox were locked in a scoreless tie with the A’s during the fourth inning when Moreland came to the plate with a runner on second and one out. Moreland got a cutter from A’s starter Kendall Graveman and he cranked it over the right-field fence for a two-run home run. The home run was Moreland’s fourth of the year and went a long way. The Red Sox certainly hope Moreland stays hot. Thumbnail photo via Stan Szeto/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Formula E Live Stream: Watch Formula E Monaco Online
Share this: After a year without a race in the principality, Formula E returns to Monte Carlo on Saturday for the 2017 Monaco ePrix. Run on a shortened version of the Circuit de Monaco that’s used for the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, the race previously was won by Renault e.dams driver Sebastien Buemi in 2015. The defending champion looks set to do so again as he heads into Saturday with victories in three of the first four races. The 1.097-mile circuit is the shortest on the all-electric series’ calendar, and with 12 corners, it incorporates various parts of the F1 track, such as Rasscasse and Anthony Noghes. However, Sainte Devote (Turn 1) is turned into a tight right-hander for the Formula E
Eduardo Rodriguez Was Stellar In Red Sox’s 6-2 Victory Over Cubs
Share this: The Boston Red Sox used a four-run eighth inning to defeat the Chicago Cubs 6-2 at Fenway Park on Sunday night. Starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez was brilliant in six innings of work. The left-hander allowed one run on five hits while striking out nine and walking two. The four-run eighth inning was due in large part to the savvy baserunning of Marco Hernandez, who scored the first run of the inning on a wild pitch to give the Red Sox a one-run lead. Announcer Gives Hilarious Home Run Call After Manny Ramirez’s Blast
Share this: Former major leaguer Manny Ramirez still can rake. Ramirez currently plays for the Kochi Island Fighting Dogs of Japan’s independent Shikoku Island League and is living the baseball high-life, which includes unlimited sushi and amazing home run calls by commentators. The former Boston Red Sox outfielder and 2017 National Baseball Hall of Fame nominee went yard Saturday, and it led to one of the greatest home run calls that we’ve ever heard. “This ball is long gone just like the ex-girlfriend who will never return,” the announcer said, as transcribed by USA TODAY’s For The Win. We hope Ramirez keeps hitting bombs so we can get more of these outstanding calls. Thumbnail photo via Steve Mitchell/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
Jackie Bradley Jr. Believes Red Sox’s Offense ‘Will Get Going’ Soon
Share this: The Boston Red Sox’s offense was relatively quiet in their 4-2 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday night at Camden Yards. The lone bright spot for the Red Sox was center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. launching his first home run of the season. Bradley became the fifth player in Red Sox history to hit a home run onto Eutaw Street in Baltimore. The center fielder believes that the offensive production will begin to pick up for the Red Sox. To hear what Bradley Jr. had to say about the offense, check out the video above from “Red Sox Final,” presented by Plainridge Park Casino.
