Kings’ TV Play-By-Play Man Goes On Twitter Rant After DeMarcus Cousins Trade

Share this: The Sacramento Kings traded a top 15 player in the NBA in DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. In return, they got rookie shooting guard Buddy Hield, a couple of picks and two players that won’t be part of their long-term plan, Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway. By any stretch of the imagination, this was a poor trade. But Kings play-by-play announcer Grant Napear put a different spin on the trade in a Twitter outburst against the talented center. Trading DMC was an absolute no brainer! There has been a dark cloud over this franchise for years! That cloud is now gone! — Grant Napear (@GrantNapearshow) February 20, 2017 The Kings were never going to win with Cousins. NEVER! This

Young Patriots Fan Is Overjoyed After Receiving A Gronk Jersey For Christmas

Share this: New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is out for the remainder of the season with injury, but that doesn’t mean he can’t make Pats fans happy. Gronk took to his Instagram page on Sunday to share a video of a young Patriots fan receiving his jersey for Christmas, and the reaction is priceless. Who knows, maybe Tom Brady will start using “oh my banana swirl” as an audible call. Thumbnail photo via Stew Milne/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link

Kyle Rudolph Will Wear Awesome (And Predictable) Christmas Cleats For Vikings-Pa…

Share this: We imagine it’s probably tough to get through the holiday season without people cracking jokes if you share a last name with one of Santa’s reindeer, but Kyle Rudolph is embracing it. The Minnesota tight end is getting in the spirit ahead of the Vikings’ Christmas Eve game against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday with some festive footwear. Rudolph plans to wear cleats featuring, you guessed it, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The cleats pay homage to the 1964 claymation movie version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” that’s a Christmas staple in many households. Whether they help guide Rudolph and the Vikings to a win to hang onto their slim playoff chances, though, remains to be seen. Thumbnail photo via Bruce Kluckhohn/USA TODAY Sports

Tom Brady Plays Video Games With Ram In Latest Edition Of ‘TB Times’

Share this: The New England Patriots made it look like they were taking on a rookie-level team in “Madden NFL” during their win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Or at least that’s what the “TB Times” thought. Tom Brady posted the latest edition of his fictional newspaper to Facebook on Sunday after the Patriots’ 26-10 victory, and it was, well, interesting to say the least. It features a drawing of the Patriots quarterback playing video games with an actual Ram. We imagine hooves make it pretty difficult to use a video game controller, so it’s safe to say there wasn’t much competition in that matchup. More Stories Source link

Anton Khudobin Makes Key Back-To-Back Stops, Plays Huge Role In Bruins’ Win

Share this: Anton Khudobin couldn’t have done much better in net than he did Thursday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Boston Bruins backup goalie stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced, including back-to-back opportunities from Sebastian Aho with the Hurricanes already leading by one goal in the third period. Those saves proved to be huge, as the B’s won 2-1 in a shootout Hear NESN’s Andy Brickley break down the stop in the DCU Save of the Day above. Kyle Long’s Injured Ankle Looks Gruesome Ahead Of Much-Needed Surgery

Share this: Thank goodness Kyle Long will undergo surgery Monday. The Chicago Bears offensive lineman used Twitter on Sunday to share a picture of his injured ankle with the world. The image clearly shows why he’ll sit out the rest of the NFL season. Long suffered ligament damage on Nov. 13 when fullback Paul Lasike fell onto him in the Bears’ Week 10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Trainers carted Long off the field, and he returned to the sideline with his lower leg heavily bandaged. The Bears subsequently placed the three-time Pro Bowl guard on injured reserve. Nobody who has seen Long’s injured ankle will doubt why. Thumbnail photo via Kim Klement/USA TODAY Sports Images More Stories Source link
