Charles suffered a torn ACL last season, and the move Tuesday came after he felt soreness in his right knee, according to ESPN. Chiefs coach Andy Reid also said Charles saw surgeon Dr. James Andrews on Monday after missing Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Charles will have to remain on injured reserve for eight weeks, which means he still could play again this regular season and in the playoffs, if the Chiefs make it.
