Share this: Michael Bisping just can’t stand Vitor Belfort. Belfort, who’s lost his last three fights via TKO, has only one fight remaining on his UFC contract and then plans to retire from mixed martial arts. For his farewell bout, Belfort would like to fight in his native Brazil, where UFC 212 is scheduled to take place June 3, and The Phenom’s suggestion for his final opponent sure rubbed Bisping the wrong way. Belfort recently said (jokingly) he’d like to fight former WWE superstar CM Punk, whose MMA record stands at 0-1 after being pummeled in September by Mickey Gall at UFC 203. The idea made Bisping, who lost to Belfort in January 2013, go nuts on the most recent episode of his

Floyd Mayweather Wants Conor McGregor To ‘Sign The Paper’ For Mega-Fight
Share this: It sounds like Floyd Mayweather Jr. finally is ready to get in the ring with UFC champion Conor McGregor. All he needs is McGregor’s signature. Mayweather spoke to ESPN’s Ben Dirs in London about the potential mega-fight with the Irish UFC star, claiming he’s just waiting on McGregor to put pen to paper to make the fight happen. “If Conor McGregor really wants this fight to happen, stop blowing smoke up everybody’s ass,” Mayweather told Dirs. “Sign the paper. Sign the paper. You said you were boss, so just sign the paper and let’s make it happen.” While Mayweather makes it sound simple, the logistics behind the potential fight are much more complex. There are issues with the purse for both fighters, as well

UFC Legend Georges St-Pierre Set To Return After Long, 4-Year Hiatus
Share this: The UFC that Georges St-Pierre returns to in 2017 isn’t the same place he left in 2013. The complexity of mixed martial arts as a sport, combining numerous fighting disciplines into one cohesive competition, evolves constantly. Now that St-Pierre is officially making his comeback, questions swirl as he attempts to re-establish himself as a force in today’s UFC universe, at the elite level he previously achieved. Can St-Pierre compete with the top fighters of today at 35 years old? Will he have any rust after four years away? One question that has been answered: his opponent. UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping will welcome GSP back to the Octagon later this year in what instantly becomes the biggest fight of 2017. If St-Pierre wins,
Georges St-Pierre Reportedly Signs Agreement To Return To UFC
Share this: Georges St-Pierre reportedly will make his long-awaited return to the UFC. The former welterweight champion reportedly reached a new fight agreement with the UFC on Friday, UFC president Dana White told Lance Pugmire of The Los Angeles Times. “He’s back. I’m excited,” White told Pugmire. “We worked at it for a long time and finally got it done.” St-Pierre’s return will give the UFC a pay-per-view star to lessen the blow of losing lightweight champion Conor McGregor while he awaits the birth of his child. GSP has a record of 25-2 and will be riding a 12-fight winning streak when he reenters the octagon. St-Pierre’s last fight came against Johny Hendrix when he successfully defended his welterweight championship at UFC 167 in November 2013. He
UFC 208 Results: Germaine de Randamie Becomes First Women’s Featherweight Champi…
Share this: History will be made Saturday night at UFC 208 in Brooklyn. The first ever women’s featherweight champion will be crowned in a bout between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie. Holm took the UFC world by storm with her knockout victory over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November 2015. She has struggled since then, though, with two consecutive losses to Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko, respectively. But that won’t be the only fight at the Barclays Center on Saturday night. Anderson “The Spider” Silva will take on Derek Brunson in a middleweight contest. Once considered the best pound-for-pound fighter in the business, Silva has not registered a win in UFC since October 2012. The main card will kick off at 10 p.m.
