Wayne Rooney likely to be in England Euro 2012 squad

Rooney missed United’s draw with Sunderland on Saturday

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney looks set to be included in the England squad to face Montenegro on 12 October.

An
ankle injury has kept Rooney out of his club’s last two matches, but
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said he should be fit for the Euro 2012
qualifier.

Rio Ferdinand and John Terry are also likely to make manager Fabio Capello’s squad when it is announced on Monday.
