Redknapp’s trial for alleged tax evasion began this week, but he will be swapping the dock for the dugout as his side travel to Vicarage Road in the FA Cup fourth round to take on Championship side Watford.
And ex-England boss Hoddle, who scored one of the most memorable goals of his glittering playing career against the Hornets, thinks Wembley glory in May is a realistic target for Spurs this season.
“I would be expecting Tottenham to put out quite strong team,” Hoddle told the Daily Express..”This is a competition that they have a great chance of winning.
“Finishing in the top four is obviously a main target for the club but, for the fans and the players, winning something, some silverware, is what they will remember.
“It’s what we are in the game for – look at Stevie Gerrard’s face after Liverpool reached the League Cup final on Wednesday night. Spurs have a great pedigree in the FA Cup.”
