One individual was injured in a crash after a car was hit by gunfire Sunday on the Dan Ryan Expressway on the South Side.
The car was shot about 5:30 a.m. within the southbound native lanes of I-94 close to 31st Street, in line with Illinois State Police. It was concerned in a crash a short while later.
The driver, whose age and gender weren’t instantly identified, was taken to Mercy Hospital with accidents from the crash, state police mentioned. No gunshot victims have been reported.
The incident stays underneath investigation, in line with state police.
