Hashtag #instagramdown was trending on Twitter on Thursday morning and based on the monitoring web site DownDetector.com, greater than 21,000 individuals have reported outages with the picture sharing web site.
Instagram took to Twitter to say it was conscious of the difficulty.

According to DownDetector’s monitoring map, Instagram has essentially the most outage stories in central Europe. Facebook outages are primarily throughout the U.S.
More than 9,000 are reporting outages on Facebook, based on DownDetector.com as of 10:40 a.m. ET.
