Wentworth Gardens arrest: Crowd throws bottles at officials


A crowd of folks allegedly threw bottles at law enforcement officials Tuesday night time whilst the officials had been arresting somebody with a gun following a Wentworth Gardens taking pictures that wounded a 5-year-old woman and two different teenagers.

The incident started about 10:45 p.m. when officials attempted to arrest a person armed with a gun within the 200 block of West Pershing Road, Chicago police stated.

Shamar Hunter of Woodlawn allegedly ran from officials who spotted him retaining one thing in his waistband, police stated.

While the officials arrested 18-year-old Hunter after a foot chase, a crowd surrounded the officials within the 3700 block of South Princeton Street and started to yell profanities, police stated. The crowd allegedly threatened to hurt the officials if they didn’t let Hunter unfastened.

At one level, bottles had been thrown from the group on the officials, however nobody used to be harm, police stated. More officials had been referred to as to the scene and dispersed the group.
