Whenever it crew makes a run at a Stanley Cup, it seems like there’s at all times some iconic blocked shot that occurred alongside the best way.

Well, the Boston Bruins might need gotten that very block Saturday evening.
Defenseman Charlie McAvoy took a slap shot off his ankle/leg within the remaining seconds of Boston’s 4-Three win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. McAvoy’s teammates praised the blueliner’s efforts after the victory, which gave the Bruins a 3-2 lead of their second-round playoff sequence.
Here’s the block:
McAvoy collapsed to the ice in apparent ache earlier than gingerly skating to the bench. The play understandably raised considerations over whether or not McAvoy had suffered a probably severe damage.
But to not fear, Bruins followers: McAvoy is simply “fine.”

The Bruins will look to complete off the Blue Jackets in Monday evening’s Game 6. Puck drop at Nationwide Arena is about for 7 p.m. ET.
