Bruins Excited About Their Young Players Heading Into 2016-17 NHL Season

With the recent undisclosed injuries to Kevan Miller and Adam McQuaid, even more opportunities are there for the Boston Bruins’ younger players to step up heading into the 2016-17 season.

“We’ve said all along the opportunity will be there for younger players if they’re able to step forward, and you’re seeing throughout camp we’ve had a couple players who have emerged in that regard, whether that’s through injury or through their good play,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said at the team’s media day Tuesday. “And the coaching staff has been excited about their play, so we move forward with that and we feel they’ve added a lot of dimensions to our team.”
