Bruins’ Offensive Struggles Dominate Storyline In Loss Vs. Maple Leafs

The Boston Bruins didn’t have any problems creating chances in Saturday’s 4-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs — they had a 33-20 advantage in shots on goal — but their offense struggled to finish.

“I think, when you look at what’s happening to us right now, when you can’t score, you can’t win hockey games,” coach Claude Julien told NESN’s Andy Brickley and Jack Edwards on “Bruins Overtime Live.” “You can create chances all you want, but if you’re not going to score, every goal that goes in against you is being dissected, and it kind of makes the guys second guess themselves and the confidence level isn’t there.”
