Rajon Rondo Totally Gets Why Celtics Fans Are Booing Him In NBA Playoffs
Share this: Rajon Rondo gets it. Boston Celtics fans booed the Chicago Bulls point guard throughout Game 1 of the teams’ first-round playoff series Sunday, and there’s a good chance the TD Garden crowd will continue to let Rondo hear it amid the heat of battle. The way Rondo sees it, it’s nothing personal. In fact, the former Celtics star expects nothing less from the boisterous fans who once cheered him on for eight-plus seasons. “These fans are great,” Rondo said before Tuesday’s shootaround, according to ESPN.com. “I wouldn’t expect anything else. Malcolm Butler Signs Patriots’ First-Round Tender, Now Can Be Traded
Share this: Cornerback Malcolm Butler officially is under contract with the New England Patriots. Butler signed the first-round tender given to him by the Patriots on Tuesday. That means he won’t be signed to a restricted free-agent offer sheet by another team. The Patriots now can discuss Butler in trades. Prior to Butler signing, discussing him in trades was against NFL rules. The New Orleans Saints hosted Butler on a free-agent visit last month. If Butler isn’t traded, he will play in 2017 on a one-year $3.91 million deal unless he and the Patriots agree to a long-term contract. Sculpture Artist Recreating City Scenes Inside Old New York Parking Meters
Share this: Because people naturally associate parking meters with spending money, even the site of them is off-putting. Apparently, however, all it takes is some aesthetic modifications to allow you to see them in an entirely new light. Artist Conrad Stojak was born and raised in New York, and now, he’s making some of the most quintessentially New York sculptures imaginable. Stojak began buying old parking meters from the city and using them to house sculptures of scenes that relate to life in the “Big Apple,” such as a miniature versions of a subway car and the Flatiron Building. As if that wasn’t New York enough, Stojak works on his pieces in his studio, which is on the 67th floor of 4 World Trade
