The Patriots are “hopeful and confident” that they’ll have “at least one, possibly two” quarterbacks available for next Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, team sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. That means incumbent starter Jimmy Garoppolo and rookie backup Jacoby Brissett, both of whom have seen time while Tom Brady serves his four-game suspension for Deflategate. Garoppolo suffered a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder in Week 3, but New England feels he is “definitely is making progress” in his recovery, the source told Schefter. Share this: Another day, another victory dance. The Boston Red Sox’s outfielders have given fans something to look forward to after every win thanks to their creative celebratory dances. And just one night after Mookie Betts debuted “The Carlton,” the right fielder moved on to the “Jump On It” dance after Saturday’s 6-4 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. The dance goes with The Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache” and also was featured in an episode of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” so it looks as though Betts is sticking to a theme. The Red Sox starter helped lead Boston to its 10th straight win Saturday with a 6-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. And because Porcello earned the decision, he became the first Red Sox pitcher to win 22 games since Pedro Martinez won 23 in 1999. Now, no one is about to compare Porcello to Martinez. The latter had a ridiculous 1999 season, during which he went 23-4 with a 2.07 ERA and a whopping 313 strikeouts to win the American League Cy Young Award. Share this: Liverpool produced a stunning attacking display to thrash Hull City 5-1 on Saturday at Anfield and make it four wins on the spin in all competitions. Adam Lallana opened the scoring early in the first half before James Milner netted from the spot after Ahmed Elmohamady received a red card for stopping Philippe Coutinho’s shot on the line with his arm. Sadio Mane extended his incredible start to the season with another goal before the break, though the visitors pulled one back in the second period through David Meyler’s close-range finish. That blow mattered little in the end, though, as Coutinho’s fine curler quickly restored the Reds’ advantage and Milner bagged another penalty to add gloss to the scoreline.
