Dale Earnhardt Jr. tries not to worry too much about his winless stretch, which reached three years earlier this week. Of course, now he's back in Michigan, the site of his last victory. There's no avoiding the questions. The date was June 15, 2008. Earnhardt's fuel-mileage victory at Michigan International Speedway snapped a 76-race winless string shortly after he teamed up with Hendrick Motorsports. Since then, he's raced 107 times on the Sprint Cup circuit without finishing first. Despite all that, the popular Earnhardt is a lot more upbeat these days. Although he has yet to win, he has eight top 10 finishes in 14 races this season, equaling his total for all of 2010.

US Open 2011 Leaderboard: Brandt Snedeker in Line for Another Top US Open Finish
US Open 2011 Leaderboard Reveals Familiar Trend If I asked you who the only man, other than Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson, to finish in the Top 10 of the US Open twice in the previous three years, I bet few of you would guess the correct answer: Brandt Snedeker. But after the way he's played today--coupled by Tiger Woods absence and Phil Mickelson's inconsistency--there's a pretty good chance Snedeker will soon be the only man in the world to take Top 10s at thee of the last four US Opens. Snedeker, who took ninth at Torrey Pines in 2008 and ninth at Pebble Beach last year, has put together back to back one-under 70s this week at Congressional to
The Draw for Wimbledon 2011: Francesca Schiavone vs Jelena Dokic
Not as exciting as it might have been when Jelena Dokic was at her very best - nearly a decade ago now, can you believe it? Still, Dokic may be at number 56 in the rankings but she has the game to beat the best, and she's certainly beaten Francesca Schiavone before. This'll be a bit of a test if Schiavone is to make it through the tournament.

Mavericks win first NBA title, oust Heat (AP)
For Dirk Nowitzki, the resume is complete. He's an NBA champion. For LeBron James, the agonizing wait continues for at least one more year. A season that began with Miami celebrating the signings of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh -- along with the promise of championships -- ended on the very same floor, with the Dallas Mavericks hoisting the title trophy for the first time in their franchise...
