Van Eerde leads the charge back to Buriram
The Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup’s first visit of the season to Sepang International Circuit saw a shift in momentum and a change of leader after two races that seriously swung the pendulum. In the first, former points leader Haruki Noguchi crashed out in mixed conditions as key rival Mario Aji took his first IATC win, and in the second, Bill van Eerde won a stunning three-way fight for victory. Both went down to the final corner and as the dust settles and the grid prepare to return to battle at Buriram, it’s Australia’s van Eerde at the head of the Championship. Source link

Nicky Hayden was fighting for a rare podium finish on the Ducati with the Yamaha of the World Champion elect Jorge Lorenzo. Afterwards, at the press conference, Nicky described his overtaking move as they raced side by side under the shadow the big wall through turns 13 and 14 as something his Dad Earl had taught him in their backyard back home at Owensboro, Kentucky many years ago. Earl as with most things in life turned into the perfect tutor and Nicky took just his second podium in third place on that tough period with the Ducati. It was just so Nicky and Earl – a combination that brought them that world title in 2006 but so much more. Humility,
Binder brilliantly battles to victory at MotorLand
Not fazed by the incident, Binder continued to lock horns with Marquez and after two failed attempts, the 2016 Moto3™ World Champion made a move stick into Turn 12 on lap 15 – the two coming into contact on the exit. From there, the 23-year-old couldn’t be stopped and he went on to claim his second intermediate class win. Behind, Bagnaia re-gathered and made his way past Baldassarri on lap 17 after the latter was wide at Turn 3 before getting the better of Marquez – P2 for the Championship leader who now has a 19-point lead in the title race. Baldassarri and Marquez then found themselves in a dog fight on the penultimate lap, the former emerging victorious –
