Misano goes technicolour with Drudi Performance

The corners where the run off areas have been redesigned are Parco, Brutapela, Quercia, Carro and Misano, and the technicolour landscape of the event doesn’t stop there: the same colour scheme and designs will be ever-present throughout the weekend. That includes the poster, thousands of flags distributed throughout the venue and even the Press Conference room as Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli gets splashed in colour ahead of the Gran Premio Tribul Mastercard di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini. Can Fenati fight back on home turf?

The British GP saw something else significant, however, with Enea Bastianini (Estrella Galicia 0,0) taking second and his first podium of the season after a tough year. And the Italian is the rider with the best record at Misano, taking his first win there in 2015 and then coming home a close-fought second in 2016. The ‘Beast’ may well be back. His compatriots – including Mugello winner Andrea Migno (Sky Racing Team VR46) and teammate Nicolo Bulega – will also be pushing hard at home. At Misano, there is more at stake than points. Lowes: “My target is to win the Moto2 title”

SL22: “We had a good test at Misano, I only did 40 laps because of my injured foot from Brno, which is still damaged so I didn’t do too much but it’s a track that I like and I’ve done a bit there on a MotoGP bike. I look forward to it and it’s the team’s home race which is always nice. I love Misano, I can’t wait to get there. For me now the goal is to get closer to the front, get in the points and try and sneak a top ten before the end of the season. Keep plugging away, enjoy it as much as I can, and give everything, every lap so I’m in good stead

Rabat: “The set up solved a lot of my problems”

Starting from P21 on the grid, the 27-year-old from Barcelona pushed hard throughout the 20-lap race and was rewarded with a solid points-scoring finish - gaining nine places. Source link

Redding: “It wasn’t looking good until the race”

Scott Redding, P8: “I’m really, really happy with the result in the race, I didn’t expect that. We struggled a lot all weekend and I pushed hard all the weekend but I never felt comfortable. I struggled a lot with the front tyres and even in Warm Up I wasn’t in a good, confident position but we made some changes for the race. It started to work, I had quite good grip from the beginning so I could get the rhythm. So in the end I was happy with the end result. We worked hard and it wasn’t looking good until the race, we were thinking if we could get top ten it would be a good job. So to

Lorenzo: “I was very satisfied with my second laptime”

Jorge Lorenzo, P5: “We had some problems with the electronics in FP4 and I had to go back on the scooter and take the other bike for the last few minutes, and we used a new tyre so that’s why we were so fast. Then in qualifying I was very satisfied with my second laptime, it was very fast, but the problem was the other riders were so fast! Not only Marc, but also Rossi…impressive laptimes. I expected the front row so when I saw I was fifth I was a bit disappointed because I was very proud of my lap. Yesterday we had some problems – vibration over the bumps and consistency on used tyres. We’ve solved the first
