CIP – Green Power launches 2019 team in Italy

Binder is one of the new recruits of the CIP – Green Power Team for the 2019 season. Aged 21, he has raced in the Grand Prix paddock since 2015. After finishing 17th place in the overall standings in 2018, while picking up a third place at the Japanese GP, the South African really wants to continue on this path and to add more podiums to his list. His knowledge of the category and the bike will be a strong argument for him to fight in the leading group, with the aim to be in the top five of the Championship at the end of the season. Sepang Test and the GP19: high expectations

Petronas Yamaha SRT: the birth of a team in under six months

With the countdown to the first Valencia test underway, Stigefelt and Zeelenberg went to work on the sporting side and, as the Team Director himself recalls: “Yamaha’s help during the team’s first steps was fundamental. If they didn’t help us out in the way they did for the Valencia test, with the engineers, technicians, material… we wouldn’t have been able to do that test or even Jerez.” The other key to those early stages, according to Stigefelt, was to create ‘a good group.’ “You can have the biggest budget and the best material but you need a good human group. After the summer break, the paddock returns to action in the Czech Republic, before heading to Austria and then the UK. The San Marino GP hosts Round 13, before a trip to Aragon comes before the four flyaway trips: Thailand, Japan, Australia and Malaysia.
