Champions League starts: Road to Kyiv begins in Yerevan

The 2017/18 UEFA Champions League season begins on Tuesday when the first qualifying round kicks off.

Just 24 days on from Real Madrid lifting the trophy in Cardiff, and with little under 11 months to go to the 2018 final in Kyiv, action begins at 17:00CET when Armenia’s Alashkert welcome FC Santa Coloma to Yerevan. When these teams met last season a 0-0 draw in Andorra was followed by a 3-0 win for Alashkert.
