The man, 30, was significantly wounded in what police consider was a robbery-related taking pictures on a CTA Blue Line practice on the UIC-Halsted station Wednesday morning.
He was getting off a westbound practice on the UIC-Halsted cease about 10:45 a.m. when one other individual on the practice pulled on his backpack, Chicago Police Chief of Patrol Fred Waller instructed reporters.
The two briefly exchanged phrases earlier than the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the person as soon as within the again, Waller mentioned. The suspect took the backpack and fled.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in “very serious” situation, Waller mentioned, including there have been a number of different individuals on the practice automobile on the time.
