The Boston Red Sox beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-0 on a walk-off 3-run home run by Sandy Leon in the bottom of the 12th inning at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.

Chris Sale earned a no-decision in his Red Sox debut pitching seven scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, three hits, and one walk on 104 pitches. Joe Kelly earned the win pitching two innings of relief allowing just one hit. Leon was thrown out at the plate trying to score earlier in the game but had his redemption when he smashed the ball over the Green Monster for his first home run of the season to win the game.
