The 2016 season couldn’t have started much better for the Boston Red Sox than it did Tuesday afternoon.
Ace David Price pitched six solid innings, Mookie Betts and the other young players stepped up at the plate and David Ortiz hit a home run in the Red Sox’s 6-2 win over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.
So what did the soon-to-be-retired Ortiz say about his strong start to the season afterward?
“(When) the light goes on Papi goes on,” Ortiz said on “Red Sox Final.”
We couldn’t have said it any better. Hear more from Ortiz in the video above.
