Does Team USA stand a good chance of advancing to the quarterfinals?
Their friendly against the best team in the world, Spain, has to be a wake up call for the Americans. They didn’t boast their “A” team and looked helpless on defense.

That said, their group stage rivals Canada, Panama and Guadeloupe are not in the same tier as the Spanish team. With Landon Donovan expected to be back for their Gold Cup opener against Canada they should play with a lot more heart and discipline and therefore stand a good chance to advance to the quarters.
