A household in south suburban Lynwood made a shocking discovery Saturday evening once they returned dwelling and located a helicopter wheel hanging from the ceiling of their rest room.
Linda Dian, 55, stated she returned simply earlier than 7 p.m. to her two-story, single-family dwelling at 20019 Marlin Court and was watching TV when her daughter started yelling upstairs.
“She started screaming, ‘momma, momma come here now,’” Dian stated. “I was scared. I thought something had happened to one of my grandkids.”
What she discovered upstairs surprised her — a small wheel that appeared prefer it was from an airplane poking via the ceiling of the toilet.
“I saw the wheel hanging in the ceiling of my bathroom. There was plaster everywhere,” Dian stated.

She stated the wheel will need to have struck the house whereas they have been out earlier within the night. None of the neighbors she had talked to Saturday evening stated they heard something.
Dian, who lives blocks away from Lansing Municipal Airport, stated she had lengthy feared one thing like this could occur to her dwelling.
“I am so scared and nervous right now,” Dian stated. “I’ve been dreading this. I’ve always had a fear for a plane hitting the house. What if it had been later in the night?”
Dian known as the police and a crew from the Lynwood Fire Department was despatched to the house, she stated. Firefighters pushed the wheel again out via the roof and carried it away.
“They’re just trying to figure out who this belongs to at this point,” Dian stated.
Authorities from Lansing Municipal Airport instructed her they imagine the wheel got here from a helicopter, however as of eight p.m., the plane had not be recognized, she stated.
“I’m so thankful no one was hurt,” Dian stated.
A spokesman for the airport was not instantly out there for remark Saturday evening.
The Federal Aviation Administration had not acquired reviews of any incidents within the space.
