Democrat Michelle Mussman of Schaumburg emphasizes direct provider to her district, definitely a large a part of why she’s been re-elected a number of instances since 2010.
But she sees the large image too, and brings a considerate method to problems reminiscent of ethics and financial reform. The state’s new finances oversight job pressure should pass “line by line to find places to save,” she says, however there are long-term penalties to reducing for the sake of reducing. If, as an example, the state have been to critically lower spending for human services and products, she argues, there’s an actual risk of making dearer issues down the street.
We admire, as well as, Mussman’s dedication to early schooling, and to services and products and housing for the disabled.
Mussman is recommended over Republican Scott Kegarise, who as Schaumburg Township Highway Commissioner has achieved a commendable process of addressing native flooding issues and long-deferred highway upkeep.
