The Australian Open must be Novak Djokovic’s favorite Grand Slam tournament.
The No. 1 men’s tennis player beat Andy Murray in straight sets (6-1, 7-5, 7-6 (7-3)) Sunday to earn his sixth title in Melbourne, tying Roy Emerson’s record for most Australian Open wins. The win also represents Djokovic’s 11th Gram Slam victory.
The No. 2 Murray probably doesn’t have the same feelings as Djokovic about the Australian Open, as he’s now lost all five finals he’s been in, four of them coming against the 28-year-old Serbian native. But Murray has other business to attend to, as his wife is due to give birth any day now.
