Pacquiao vs. Mosley Has Shane Mosley Criticizing Floyd Mayweather Leading Up to the Bout
The media, fans and boxing world has greatly lashed out at Floyd Mayweather Jr. for not accepting a fight with Manny Pacquiao.
Now, even Pacquiao’s upcoming opponent, Shane Mosley, has some harsh words for the undefeated pound-for-pound five-division world champion.
Said Mosley, via Yahoo! Sports:
“I don’t know what to make of Floyd not fighting this fight. It’s mind-boggling to me. It’s like I said on Twitter, it feels like I’m doing Floyd’s dirty work.”

Mosley, 39, fights Pacquiao on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and he’s making it clear that he doesn’t respect Mayweather as a person as much as he respects Pacquiao.
Said Pacquiao, “I respect and I really admire Team Mosley, because this is my first time to encounter an opponent where they’re not talking trash.”
Some believe that Mayweather won’t fight Pacquiao because he’s a southpaw, and left-handers have been tough for Mayweather during his career.
But it appears the real reason is that Mayweather is in some serious legal trouble at the moment, accused of felony grand larceny, coercion and robbery from an incident in September.
The last thing Mayweather is thinking about is whether Mosley respects him or not.
But Mosley’s recent blasting of Mayweather brings up a curious development in Mayweather’s career. Along with Pacquiao, he’s one of the great pound-for-pound boxers ever, but, unlike Pacquiao, his reputation has taken a hit, and he may never punch his way out of this one.
