Four car thefts had been reported in June and July in Park Manor and Englewood at the South Side.
In some thefts sufferers nonetheless had ownership of the car’s keys, and in some incidents the car was once left operating, Chicago police mentioned.
The thefts took place:
Between 10 p.m. June four and Nine p.m. June 6 within the first block of West 71st Street;
About 9:30 p.m. June 12 within the 7100 block of South Lafayette Avenue;
About 8:30 p.m. June 18 and about 8:50 a.m. July 7 within the 7100 block of South Vincennes Avenue.
