FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots now have a full 53-man roster and 10-man practice squad.
The Patriots signed wide receiver Da’Ron Brown to their practice squad Tuesday, the team announced. Brown had a locker at Gillette Stadium.
A spot on the Patriots’ practice squad opened last week when wide receiver Devin Street was signed to the Indianapolis Colts’ 53-man roster.
Brown was a Kansas City Chiefs seventh-round pick out of Northern Illinois in 2015. He spent all of last season on the Chiefs’ practice squad and was released Sept. 3. He had five catches for 39 yards in preseason this summer.
He caught 68 passes for 1,065 yards with six touchdowns as a senior at Northern Illinois. He also had 10 rushing attempts for 108 yards with another score. The 6-feet, 199-pound wideout ran a 4.54-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2015 with a 1.55-second 10-yard split, 7.04-second 3-cone drill, 4.11-second short shuttle, 37-inch vertical jump and 10-feet broad jump.
The Patriots have three receivers on their practice squad and five (Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola, Malcolm Mitchell and Matthew Slater) on their active roster. Here’s the full practice squad:
