Elgin man convicted of 2015 homicide

An Elgin man was convicted of first-degree homicide Wednesday for the capturing demise of 20-year-old Devonte Turner in April 2015. William Ingram, 32, shot at Turner as he sat within the passenger seat of his good friend’s automobile in a car parking zone within the 1200 block of Fleetwood Drive in Elgin, the Kane County state’s legal professional’s workplace stated. Turner was struck twice and died at a neighborhood hospital. Prosecutors imagine the capturing was a case of mistaken id, the state’s legal professional’s workplace stated.
