I had a good friend pass away from prostate cancer that spread. His hobby was road bike racing all over the country. There are two views on bikes and cancer. Some say yes it causes and others say is doesn’t cause cancer. This guy looked like the perfect picture of health. After he passed, I figured I would buy the best padded bike pants that are out there. These exceed my Nike by quite a bit. They are well built with a lot of attention to detail. I ride about 125 miles a week and I have had these for a few months now. They are comfortable and fit well. I don’t feel very STIFF after a 25 mile run like I had before. They are worth the money. Yes, I have had the special seat for men for many years. The pants helped.

Shorts may run on the small size, July 20, 2011

I purchased these to replace an aging pair of Pearl Izumi Ultrasensor shorts about two years old. The new shorts are very impressive bit there are differences. The new P.R.O. in-r-cool short in the same small size are a bit smaller than the other top of the line from Pearl which are the ones I’m replacing. There is no draw string in these shorts just wide elastic not a combination like the Ultrasensor’s. Its a tight squeeze but the quality is over the top. So just beware that it’s quite possibly one may have to bump up to one larger size. I’ve been using Pearl products since the 1980’s and every piece gets better and better. I still have an original jersey from that era that I could use today if needed. I may be a bit bias but we men don’t like change once we find a quality piece, or at least I don’t.
