Russell Wilson Injury: Seahawks Quarterback Sprains Knee, Leaves Blowout Win Vs….

Russell Wilson was already nursing an ankle injury. Now, that’s the least of his worries.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback left Sunday’s blowout 38-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers twice due to what the team is calling a sprained left knee.

Wilson’s knee bent horrifically in the wrong direction during one play in which he was scrambling to his right, and he left the game but returned after missing only one snap. He later left the game again and was fitted with a left knee brace. He intends to play in Week 4, and said he could have returned Sunday if the game was close.

Some reports are speculating that Wilson has a sprained MCL, but it appears his ACL fortunately is in tact. For more updates and quotes from Wilson and Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, check out the tweets below.
