A former St. Charles man who was arrested final week in New York is accused of sexually assaulting a lady he met on-line at his west suburban dwelling in 2018.
Samuel Helland, 40, is charged with two counts of aggravated legal sexual assault, two counts of legal sexual assault, one depend of aggravated legal sexual abuse and one depend of legal sexual abuse, in accordance with the Kane County sheriff’s workplace.
Helland allegedly sexually assaulted a lady he met via a web-based relationship service July 31, 2018, after inviting her to his dwelling in St. Charles, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.
The lady filed a police report instantly after leaving the house and was handled and launched from Delnor Hospital, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned.
Helland left the realm and a $250,000 warrant was issued for his arrest, the sheriff’s workplace mentioned. Authorities positioned him in New York the place he was taken into custody Dec. 19.
