I have been using the Speedo hydro resistence trainers for arms and legs for 2 months now. Just noticed this belt – I was not aware the belts assisted you with “floating” so you could do deep water. Anyway I purchased it and received today AFTER my pool workout. I got right back into the pool to try it out. Amazing! I love it and can really get a different type of workout in now. You can easily fit it too your body and it does not ride up AT ALL! I have researched online websites to get all types of water exercises. My knee is tricky so exercising in the pool is recommended – low impact. GREAT results – in 6 weeks I have lost 12 lbs.!

The jog belt works really well but it is hard to adjust. Once you do find the right setting, it does not work loose.

I made the decision to purchase this belt after a lot of research comparing similar belts, features, reviews and finally price. Although this belt is more expensive than other Speedo jog belts and similar competitor brands, I highly recommend this belt over the others for several reasons: Generous range of adjustable fit (no more buying separate belts to fit several people in one household) and superior design in my opinion. Truly comfortable to use with non-slip silicon fabric covering the soft neoprene foam. This type of foam coupled with the mesh fabric design allows for proper draining which is important in a jog belt.

First thoughts with product and after 1st use:
    * Quality feel and materials. Attractive design.
    * Extremely comfortable as boasted on the product description.
    * Easy to adjust size, however the belt strap adjusters keeps the strap from loosening during use which is nice. Decent plastic belt buckles.
    * Because the strap is built/sewn into the belt, no more chaffing from the rough belt straps. Nice design.
    * Generous size range fits many people with just one belt! Up to 56″ waist. Fits hubby and me easily and comfortably.
    * Buoyant enough for jogging in the deep end of the pool but not too buoyant. Does not bob you out of the water which is important.

Note: When adjusting this belt for size, be sure that it is VERY snug as with any other jog belt and that it is properly positioned on your waist.(I prefer the belt positioned high on my waist.) You should still be able to breath but the fit needs to be snug, if it slips after getting into the pool, it needs to be tightened. Once properly tightened and positioned, you will be able to focus on working out without worry of the belt doing something wrong :o) Also to note, this belt is not intended to be adjusted while using in the pool which is a good feature of the best adjusters which keep the belt from loosening while using in the water. I always adjust fit prior to entering the water, then quickly test in the water to make sure it doesn’t ride up. If necessary I stand up in the shallow end or get out of the pool and tighten a little more. This whole process takes only a couple of minutes. Once adjusted the belt will not loosen while in use which is a positive thing to me.

After using this jog belt, I am very pleased. I am a 5′ 3″ woman who needs to lose some weight while my husband is near 6′ and this belt fits us both with room to spare. This should easily fit a good range of people, overweight or fit. I was able to jog in the deep end without the belt slipping for a really good aerobic workout. I had just enough buoyancy to be comfortable without feeling like I was in an inflatable tube but also I felt secure which is important for those who are learning how to swim or are not as comfortable being in the deep end. I could really focus on my workout, and not worry about the belt doing something weird. Next I tried some leg work, basic chest/back exercises and held onto the side of the pool while floating on my belly for doing some leg flutter kicks. I had a blast and really got a workout! This was all done without any other equipment. I can’t wait to try working out with my Resistance Swim Gloves & Resistant Dumbbell Discs for a more challenging workout. I also just purchased some FINIS Zoomer Fins for focusing on my legs in the pool, can’t wait to test them out!

If you are looking for a fun way to exercise or to cross-train during these hot summer months, maybe need to recover from injury or even be more comfortable in the deeper end of the pool, this belt is a good investment. Although a little more expensive, I feel that the fit is more comfortable and I really like being able to adjust the size which saves me money as I do not need to buy a 2nd belt for my husband. As always, I am usually very pleased with Speedo quality and highly recommend this jog belt.
