Share this: The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t trade for Paul George and haven’t agreed to any notable signings in free agency, but that doesn’t mean the Purple and Gold aren’t looking at making some moves. Lakers obviously hanging back at start of free agency, but one player they continue to give strong consideration to is Rajon Rondo — Ramona Shelburne (@ramonashelburne) July 2, 2017 Rajon Rondo, who’s an unrestricted free agent, certainly would be an interesting fit in Los Angeles. He’s not a good shooter, both from 3-point range and the free throw line, but he’s still a quality playmaker at age 31. He averaged 7.8 points, 6.7 assists and 5.1 rebounds in 69 games for the Chicago Bulls last season. The Lakers selected former UCLA

Red Sox Vs. Royals Lineup: Sam Travis, Deven Marrero Return For Boston
Share this: The Boston Red Sox’s lineup will have a much different look for Game 2 of the three-game series against the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Rookies Sam Travis and Deven Marrero make their return to Boston’s lineup as a result of a pair of roster moves. Pablo Sandoval was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left inner ear infection and pitcher Austin Maddox has been optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket. With lefty Mike Strahm taking the hill for the Royals, the Red Sox opted to sit a few of their left-handed bats. Travis will take over the first base duties in place of Mitch Moreland, while Chris Young gets the nod in left field instead of Andrew Benintendi. Boston also will
Aric Almirola Hopes To Be Back Behind Wheel Of No. 43 By New Hampshire
Share this: Aric Almirola has been rehabilitating his injured back for a month now, and hopes to return to Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition as early as the summer race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Almirola’s doctors told him that the latest scans of his fractured vertebrae looked very promising, NBC Sports reports. So promising, in fact, that his goal is to be back behind the wheel of the No. 43 Ford Fusion by either the New Hampshire 301 on July 16 or the Brickyard 400 on July 28 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Richard Petty Motorsports driver suffered a compression fracture of his T5 vertebrae May 13 following a terrifying crash involving Joey Logano and Danica Patrick. Almirola is undergoing laser
Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Bid For Pocono 400 Gets Off To Miserable Start
Share this: If Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s going to enter victory lane Sunday, he’s going to have to make up a lot of ground. That’s because Earnhardt blew the engine in his No. 88 Axalta Chevrolet at Pocono Raceway on Friday during practice for the Axalta presents the Pocono 400. The No. 88 team was forced to perform an engine swap, which means Earnhardt will start at the rear of the field in Sunday’s race. The incident reportedly occurred after just eight practice laps, and Earnhardt took full responsibility. Update on practice: I blew the motor up. Went into 2nd gear (was aiming for 4th) and grenaded it. Will have to start last Sunday. — Dale Earnhardt Jr. (@DaleJr) June 9, 2017 More about the dead engine.
Targets acquired: ciao from the Mugello Press Conference
The start to 2017 has been a different story for Moto2™ title leader Franco Morbidelli, with four wins out of five so far and now his first home race of the season. Characteristically relaxed, the Italian knows he’ll be facing down some extremely tough rivals – but also thought the same of Le Mans: “We’ve made a great start to the year, and I’m really happy about that. Couldn’t ask for any better, maybe just to not crash in Jerez but you always make some mistakes. Now here is a track where I’ve never been fast before, so here it’s important to be fast. It was a good feeling to win in Le Mans, I wasn’t expecting it. I was
Red Sox Promote Blaine Boyer From Triple-A To Replace Brian Johnson On Roster
Share this: Brian Johnson had a historically successful debut Saturday at Fenway Park, but he won’t be joining the Boston Red Sox in the dugout Sunday. The Red Sox officially announced Sunday they have optioned Johnson to Triple-A Pawtucket, promoting right-hander Blaine Boyer to take his place on the 25-man roster. The move was expected, as Johnson only was called up to make a spot start as the fifth man in Boston’s rotation. But what a start it was, as the 26-year-old hurled a complete-game shutout against the Seattle Mariners to lead the Sox to a 6-0 win. Boyer will make his first appearance on Boston’s major league roster since signing a minor league deal with the club on Opening Day. The 35-year-old veteran
Red Sox Teammates Praise Brian Johnson Following Complete-Game Shutout

Johnson already was sent back to Triple-A Pawtucket to make room for the returning David Price, but he went out with some very nice, encouraging words from his Red Sox teammates.
